‘Taking the plunge the Isaac Way’

Welcome to our Sunday morning worship. Today is a baptismal service and have you taken the plunge?

This delicious phrase works equally well in thinking about baptism as well as marriage. Both describe the brave and daring adventure of marriage and being a follower of Jesus. It takes a certain courage to dare to commit yourself to someone for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and health, ‘til death do us part and I am not just speaking about baptism either!!

In the marriage service people’s willingness to do this is because they believe in the power of love and this is why people are baptised too. Believing in the power of love is also what service is about too. We serve Jesus, we serve each other, we serve all who we meet because our hearts, minds and souls have been energised by love.

This is what both Sharon and Jo will be promising today; may we all do the same too.

Please take this time to worship and to be encouraged together. You can find the service on our YouTube Channel using the link below. (available from 8 am on Sunday 27th June)
