On Sunday Mornings, GRID is our space for young people (Year 6 upwards) to grow in faith and deepen their relationship with God.
OUR REGULAR MONTHLY SCHEDULE:
1st Sundays:

On the first Sunday of each month, we have Comfy Church.
From within the confines of a familiar space, Comfy Church provides the group with the opportunity of experiencing what a “regular” Sunday service will be like for them when they reach the age of 18 and no longer have groups to go out to.
At Comfy Church, all are provided with activity sheets to fill in or doodle on as the sermon progresses.
The young people have created themselves a baking rota and so they can enjoy sweets, snacks and drinks along with a little chatter, and are able to engage in taking communion with the rest of the congregation should they decide that it is appropriate to do so.
Once the Sermon concludes, we briefly unpack what we’ve just heard. We discuss what we liked, what stood out to us, if there was anything we either didn’t like or didn’t understand, and rate the worship songs out of 10.
Our hope is that Comfy Church will provide the young people with a smoother transition into adult church life and not have to face such a harsh culture shock when they reach the age of 18.
2nd Sundays:
On Second Sundays, we gather together for a “typical” Sunday School session where we dive into learning.
We head up to their lounge after having spent some time in worship and prayer with the rest of the fellowship. Here they read the bible, chat about faith and delve deeper into understanding what it means and how they can live out being Christian Young people.
Sessions usually start with snacks and drinks as we discuss how our weeks have been.
From here, we embark on an adventure into the Bible usually by using pre planned lessons in the GRID book that is provided by Scripture union.
These lessons include games, crafts, activities and discussion, while we ensure that God is at the centre of all that we do.
3rd Sundays:

On Third Sundays, we don’t head out to any groups. Instead, we join together in worship for our all age service.
Our all age services are provided to us by “Encounter Worship”.
Encounter is about being together and encountering God together; the whole family of God in the presence of God, pouring out our praises to Him.
Young and old worshipping together, Learning together, and praying together.
Unity across all ages.

5th Sundays:

On the rare occasion that they come about, we recognise 5th Sundays as Sharing Sundays, whether that be sharing in worship with other local Churches at the twice annual Churches Together services or heading out to evangelise as a group with out Gospel Walk.
The young people head out on our Gospel Walk to help enrich our local community in Dronfield. We seek to do this through various actions such as prayer walks, litter picks, helping people, music and hiding Quackers for Jesus Ducks.
Jesus said “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation”, and so we seek to do that in our own way.
