‘Is becoming like Jesus just a matter of passing tests?’
Welcome to Sunday Morning Worship where the focus topic for this week is English.
I freely admit that I struggled with English at school, especially in trying to write it.This won’t come as a surprise to you since you may well have had to read something I’ve written a number of times to understand what I am trying to say!!
As someone who loves to read and who is made to laugh, to be informed, to be excited or stirred by well written prose this is something I continue to aspire towards.
For today’s service I would like you to do two things. Firstly, if you are able to, please read today’s bible passage using as many different versions of the Bible as you can and think about the different ways these translations tell the story. Then secondly, if you are reading a book at this moment, I would like you to have it at hand as it will form part of our opening prayers of thanksgiving and praise.
Please take this time to worship and to be encouraged together. You can find the service on our YouTube Channel using the link below. (available from 8 am on Sunday 18th October) The sermon notes are at the bottom of the page.
