‘Death: The Final Week’   (‘The Jesus I never knew’ Chapter 10)

Today is Palm Sunday when we remember and celebrate Jesus, riding into Jerusalem with the cries of the crowds ringing in his ears as they welcomed their King. Yet, as we all know, the week that lies before us is overshadowed by two equally important events.

The cries of the crowd turn into the baying howls of a mob lusting for his blood with the cries of ‘Crucify!’. Such vociferous cries are more than matched by the cries of the angelic host who join with the Father in welcoming the conquering King who has triumphed over sin, death and the devil as He is raised from the dead.

There will be Palm Crosses available outside of church throughout the daytime this week and I am more than happy to drop one off if you are unable to get out.

From Monday until Saturday please join with the other churches as we journey to Calvary at 8:00am on the St Paul’s Methodist YouTube channel for live streamed morning worship and communion. Or you can join in at any time after that when it has been uploaded.

Please take this time to worship and to be encouraged together. You can find the service on our YouTube Channel using the link below. (available from 8 am on Sunday 28th March) The sermon notes are at the bottom of the page.
